During the summer of 2011 a Biobiltz was organised by Rob Smith and Ian Greaves . The event could not have happened without the support of Warrington Borough Council Ranger Service and in particular Mark, Gaynor, Marcus and Craig and the Risley Moss Action Group (RIMAG) but our thanks also go to Cheshire Active Naturalists (CAN) and the Scouts, along with the many wildlife enthusiasts who gave up their time and expertise over the 24 hours to make the Risley Moss BioBlitz a winner. During which over 600 species were recorded at Risley Moss in a single 24 hour period.
